It is not easy being a business analyst....the business may come to you asking for a horse and you may point out to them that their requirements actually suggest a 4 legged creature with horns that wears a bell and is capable of producing milk.... but whatever it is they want they want it yesterday! It is just another day in the office for a BA....

What a Resounding Success!
I am sure you have all encountered it.......
A project is run hideously without any clear direction and it at times feels like the time the good old lads of the Light Brigade were told by their Seniors, "Right chaps, see that load of soldiers over there, well we have decided that you ought to go and charge at them lot post haste!"
"Ok Sir, but what about the huge guns that seem to line up against us on each side? Surely charging into that death zone would not be the best use of our time and resources?"
Yet of course despite everyone seeing it as a terrible idea off you go into the breach, headlong into a cannon-fest as never seen before. You are soon left wondering why it is a little bit smokey and why good old Cartwright is now in several pieces!
But in true optimistic style once the smoke has died down and you have managed to crawl limbless back towards your own battle line your Seniors paint this exercise as a great success worthy of poetry and many paintings.
Cannon to the left of them, Cannon to the right of them......a drastic overspend on the development cycle.....multiple bugs and a clear realisation that we never really understood what we needed let alone what we have already got!
Ah, that's what greatness is all about!
