If you have not read "Switch" by Chip and Dan Heath I strongly recommend that you do. It is easily the best business change related book I have ever read (closely followed by other books they have written to be fair) and it will potentially make you think differently about your business analysis approach particularly when it comes to understanding how to motivate people in change environments.
It uses a great analogy of an Indian Elephant and its Rider and shows that when it comes to change we humans have 2 distinct sides to us....logical and emotional....and both need to be appealed to in a change situation without there being too much of each side in dominance.
Just the simple way of looking at "Bright Spots" and replicating them rather than looking for faults and trying to solve them is liberating enough.
